The list of 708 people martyred in the anti-Hasina uprising has been released.

The Yunus government released the list of 708 people killed in the anti-Hasina uprising.

The Ministry of Health of Bangladesh has published the list of martyrs during the uprising of the students and the masses from the anti-discrimination student movement in July-August. 708 martyrs have been identified in the draft list.

This information was announced in a public notification signed by Umme Habiba, Deputy Secretary of the Health Services Department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Tuesday (September 24, 2024).

According to the public notification, based on the information collected from public and private hospitals and district level in the month of July-August, the draft list of the names of the martyrs in the student uprising is on the website of the Department of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (www.hsd.gov.bd) and the Directorate of Health. Published on the website (www.dghs.gov.bd).

Bengali nation is a nation of heroes. On the blood-stained streets, standing in front of bullets, asking for rights on blood-smeared bodies, repeatedly answering the dictators with broken teeth, the history of the fall of the dictatorship of the 1990s, etc., the fearless brave warriors create generation after generation in Bangladesh.

The exploited do not know how to bear the pain of discrimination. A shining example of this is the chest pain of Rangpur Begum Rokeya University student Abu Saeed during the quota reform movement.

Why did the July '24 uprising occur?
Sheikh Hasina's government shot down democracy. Day voting was arranged at night. The Digital Security Act put free thought to the grave. The education system has been ignored and the health system has been placed in the ICU. The number of landless people is increasing without getting fair wages for farmers' agricultural produce. Without getting a fair wage for the labour, the laborer lives like panta furano to fetch salt.

Disappearances, murders, killings, death marches on the roads and the manipulation of the mirror room, the fire of anger against the Sheikh Hasina government was burning in the hearts of the common people.

As a result, masses of students marched against all the discriminations of the state. Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country after resigning from the government on August 5 under the pressure of the anti-discrimination student movement.

As a result, a new history was written in Bangladesh, the July 24 uprising. Along with that, an interim government system was formed to run the country.
How will the state reform work?
Will the country be a welfare state?
Will there be freedom of expression?
Is education a product or not a fundamental right?
What kind of country do our students want in the spirit of July'24 mass uprising?

The interim government has announced the formation of six commissions to reform the state. They are Electoral Reforms Commission,
Police Administrative Reforms Commission,
Judicial Reforms Commission,
Anti-Corruption Reforms Commission,
Public Administration Reform Commission and
Constitution Reform Commission.
The announced six commissions were as important as the state reform work, as was the announcement of the formation of the education reform commission.

The history of Bangladesh's great liberation war of 1971, 1990, the fall of the dictatorship and the July 24 people's uprising in the spirit of building a welfare democratic state, ensuring the basic rights of the common people, discrimination, oppressed, exploited and oppressed people will create a new history. The soil of Bangladesh is wet with blood. This blood-stained country is no longer a drop of blood, let the country be without discrimination through state reform work.

May Allah Almighty grant each of our martyrs the highest status of martyrdom. By redeeming their blood, let us build a happy-prosperous, mutually respectful and united Bangladesh.

Ameen.
