On Thursday (December 25, 2025 AD), District Jamaat Ameer and Jamaat candidate from Cox's Bazar-4 (Ukhia-Teknaf) constituency Principal Nur Ahmed Anwari resigned from the post of chairman of Hoi Kyung Union Parishad in Teknaf. He served as the chairman of the Union Parishad for four consecutive terms for almost 22 years.  

 

During his tenure, he played an important role in the development and public service of the area and became a trusted person of the people. After resigning, he collected nomination papers to participate in the upcoming thirteenth National Parliament elections. Expressing gratitude to the people of Hoi Kong, he said that he seeks the support and blessings of the people in the future as in the past.

After 22 years, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for Cox's Bazar-4 constituency and Cox's Bazar District Jamaat Ameer Principal Nur Ahmed Anwari has resigned from the post of Union Parishad Chairman to participate in the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. This leader, who has served in the local government system for almost two decades, decided to step down from the post of Chairman to actively participate in national politics. His resignation has sparked discussions in local and national politics.

His supporters claim that Principal Nur Ahmed Anwari was active in local development, social stability and public service activities during his long tenure as the Union Parishad Chairman.
