In forming the interim government
Appointment of multiple advisers and distribution of offices:-

On August 8, 16 advisers, including the chief adviser, were sworn in in three rounds, followed by four others in a second; On November 10, three more people took oath, bringing the number of members of the advisory council to 24.

Dialogue with political parties
The government has held multiple rounds of meetings with the representatives of all political parties, big and small, except for the beneficiary parties of the previous government, including Awami League - Jatiya Party. The government's dialogue with political parties will continue in the future.

Administration recruitment posting promotion
Influential bureaucrats have been forced to retire, demoted, contract appointments canceled, and some have been arrested. District administration and superintendents of police have been changed, officials deprived of last 16 years have been promoted.

Formation of various reform commissions
Among the 6 reform commissions in the first phase
Constitution Reform Commission,
Electoral Reforms Commission,
Police Reforms Commission,
Judicial Reforms Commission,
Anti Corruption Commission Reform Commission and
Public Administration Reforms Commission.

Later, the government announced the formation of 4 more commissions. These are - Health Reforms Commission,
Media Reforms Commission,
Labor Rights Reform Commission and
Women's Reforms Commission.
Apart from this, a commission of inquiry has been formed regarding the disappearance. Several task forces have also been formed.

The government has formed a white paper preparation committee to highlight the economic condition of the country. The commissions will submit their recommendations within the time limit set by them.
In the trial of genocide in the student movement, the International Criminal Tribunal has started the trial of the July-August genocide. Hundreds of allegations of genocide and crimes against humanity have been submitted to the International Criminal Tribunal for the anti-discrimination student movement.
Reorganization of Judiciary

 


 

Major changes in the judiciary. Appellate Division Judge Syed Refat Ahmed was appointed as the new judge. The government has appointed 23 judges in the High Court Division, including the appointment of four new judges in the Appellate Division. 12 judges who were appointed by the previous government were prevented from judging.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was sentenced to seven years in prison in a corruption case during Sheikh Hasina's tenure in a 'false and politically motivated' manner. But a day after the fall of the government, he was released as the President commuted the sentence. 

Students arrested during the anti-quota and anti-discrimination student movement have been released. Along with the arrest and imprisonment of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and their like-minded parties, numerous leaders and activists at various levels were also arrested and imprisoned in various cases.

Beneficial National Eight Days cancelled
The interim government has dropped eight national days known as party days of Awami League. The days are — Historical March 7,
17 March is the birthday of Father of the Nation and National Children's Day.
August 5 is the birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal.
August 8 is the birth anniversary of Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib.
15th August National Day of Mourning,
October 18 Sheikh Russell Day,
November 4 is National Constitution Day and
December 12 is Smart Bangladesh Day.

Sheikh Hasina's resignation and departure

The interim government continues to arrest MPs-ministers of the former government, influential people, bureaucrats holding important positions. Salim, Dr. Tawfiq-e-Ilahi, Asaduzzaman Noor, Nurul Islam Sujan, Farhad Hossain, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Tipu Munshi, Dipu Moni and several former MP-ministers.

Some former MP-ministers of the Jatiya Party have also been arrested. Apart from this, former Director General of NTMC retired Major General Ziaul Ahsan, Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, former Secretary Jahangir Alam, Helaluddin Ahmed and many others have been arrested.
