82 Bangladesh police officers including Additional IG who were in charge of the 2018 elections OSD
A source in the Home Ministry said that 82 officers served in the controversial 2018 parliamentary elections. The 82 police officers, including an Additional Inspector General (IGP), have been made Officers on Special Duty (OSD). This decision was taken by the Bangladesh Home Ministry order today (February 25, 2025).
Among them are Additional IGP Abdul Alim Mahmud and 13 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), 49 Additional DIGs and 19 Superintendent of Police officers.
